CLAIT Plus

If you already have some basic IT skills, then learndirect courses leading to the CLAIT Plus certificate could be for you.

CLAIT Plus is the next step up from the New CLAIT qualification from OCR, With CLAIT Plus you can tailor the qualification to suit you own needs. There is one mandatory unit and you choose three optional units covering different software packages - the optional units you choose are entirely up to you.

Your centre will be able to advise on which course option will suit you best. They will also tell you about any costs, as there may be an exam entry fee.

To get the CLAIT Plus qualification you will need to pass the practical task for the mandatory unit, Create Manage and Integrate Files and any three optional units. The OCR CLAIT route allows you to take either assignment or project based assessment at an approved OCR CLAIT centre. The table below shows you which learndirect courses you need to take CLAIT Plus:

If you wish to study towards this qualification, you should discuss it with your local learndirect centre before you start learning. You can then agree how and where assessment for your qualification will take place.

Please note that not all learndirect centres offer qualifications. Check with your local learndirect centre to see if CLAIT Plus is available.
