If you’re a first line manager, an NVQ in Management is a highly flexible, nationally recognised qualification that helps you to become more effective in your job and to demonstrate your skills and experience to current or future employers. The qualification is awarded once you have shown that you can competently perform a range of tasks connected with your job.
This course helps you plan your NVQ Programme, gain the necessary knowledge and understanding and compile the portfolio of evidence required to achieve the Level 3 NVQ in Management. You’ll plan your programme of learning, development and assessment with your Assessor and work together to compile a portfolio of evidence that proves you’re skilful and knowledgeable in your role.
The course begins with an overview of the NVQ – it explores what’s involved in becoming qualified and what benefits the qualification brings to both you and your employer. Next, you’ll build a ‘work profile’ to help you identify the most relevant units to include in your NVQ programme.
Once you’ve fully understood the qualification and the assessment process, and built a flexible learning programme that meets your own particular needs, you’ll be ready to begin your journey towards an NVQ qualification in Management. The subject areas you will be demonstrating your competencies in may include: time management skills, techniques to resolve conflict, how to give and receive feedback, how to plan your work, set targets and monitor results.
