The Complete ECDL Essentials (MS 2000) - Syll 4.5
ECDL Essentials is the first stage towards achieving the ECDL. This course contains all the courses you need to successfully complete the assessment tests for the first stages of the ECDL and the BCS Level 1 Certificate for IT Users.
The course consists of two elements: the two courses you need for ECDL Essentials; the Prepare for ECDL Essentials course; and the three assessment tests for the ECDL Essentials and BCS Level 1 qualification.
The two modules contained in the course, Using Your Computer and Electronic Communication explains the basics about IT and will provide you with a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows 2000 environment. Each of the three courses will help you to develop your skills in IT and include regular exercises and assignments to reinforce what you have learned.
What will you learn?
On completion of this course you will be able to:
- Understand the main concepts of IT
- Know how to use the computer and manage files
- Understand the basics of the Internet and e-mail
- Know the purpose/structure/features and test arrangements for ECDL Essentials
- Prepare and practise skills for the module tests
- Take the tests for the ECDL Modules 1, 2 and 7.
What should you already know?
You should have a basic understanding of Microsoft Windows, know how to use menus, dialogue boxes and enter text using a keyboard.
