Prepare for the ECDL Part One gives you a taster of what the ECDL is all about and it can lead to a Level 1 qualification after only three modules - so you will have plenty to show for your learning even before you become fully ECDL qualified! Prepare For ECDL Part One is a perfect first step towards achieving an IT qualification. The course explains the benefits, features and costs of the ECDL and helps you to decide whether it's the right qualification for you.
You will also understand more about the BCS, who administer and award the ECDL in the UK, and the BCS Level 1 Certificate for IT Users. You'll take a useful "skill check" to test your current IT knowledge and identify areas that need more practice before you put yourself forward for formal assessment.
By the time you complete the course you will know whether you are ready to sit the tests for Modules 1, 2 and 7 which lead to the BCS Level 1 Certificate for IT Users and enable you to complete part of the ECDL.
