Returning to learning after a break can be a daunting prospect. This course is the perfect place to begin and will help you to prepare to move on from learndirect and into more traditional provision, be it an NVQ, a college course or an access course for example.
The course helps you to make the right decisions as you start your new learning journey. Using video clips and case studies of real adults just like you who have returned to learning. It helps you to understand your learning aims and priorities, lets you identify the style of learning that will most suit you and explores ways to keep your motivation levels high as you learn.
Once you have decided what you want to learn and how you want to learn it, you'll really benefit from the stacks of practical advice on effective learning - from tips on listening techniques and taking written notes to the best ways to prepare for formal assessment.
